Nice Try

Dear Mentor,
I am not so young anymore. I am mature enough to decipher what you wanted me to do. I can decide well now. My eyes are open, no longer blurred by what I felt before – what you wanted me to feel.
Gone are the days when a single act of kindness was interpreted to mean as something by me. Now I know. Things are not what they seem. Things are not what I really hear. If I should be sorry, I should be sorry for myself, for hurting it so badly…for feeding it with your lies, your feigned affections, and your false smiles.
Now, I cannot be wrong. I must not be deceived by what you brought from yesterday. I should not be fooled now, or else, i shall be fooled forever. It was a nice try, though. Try it again later, I might give in.
